Mindtech Apps played a central role in delivering the project by implementing the backend and all user-facing applications. We developed a TypeScript-based web platform using React, Vite, Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, TailwindCSS, Redux Persist, and i18n for a fast, responsive, and accessible interface. Quality was ensured through Jest, Cypress, Husky commit hooks, lint-staged, and Bitbucket pipelines. We built the backend with Node.js and Express for scalable operations. For end users, we delivered a React Native mobile app for San Francisco residents to manage recycling, featuring pickup scheduling, credit tracking, and real-time collection info. Additionally, we built an Android handheld scanner app in Kotlin for field teams to scan RF-ID waste bags, enabling accurate tracking and efficient operations. The entire solution is hosted on AWS for scalability and reliability.
